About the Memoir

Description:

Beyond Borders

Beyond Borders is a personal story about growing up in a place where staying alive was often more important than dreaming big. It’s about leaving home without knowing if you’ll ever return — and learning how to build a life from scratch in a world that doesn’t always make space for you.

This book isn’t about being brave or successful. It’s about fear, confusion, waiting, trying, and not giving up — even when you really want to.

RE: Afghanistan Earthquake

I am in contact with several aid teams in Herat. The situation is much worse than it appears. All the houses have been destroyed, and more than 4,000 people have lost their lives so far. The situation is very urgent. An important point to consider is that we should help people unitedly through reliable and credible organizations to avoid chaos. The damage is so extensive that all areas need rebuilding, and all affected families require serious and immediate assistance. There should not be multiple categories and personalization in aid that will result in waste. We at Change Makers of the World have directly donated to UNICEF in Afghanistan and announce our cooperation to collect aid as a unit. We ask you to take action and help people if you can.
